Josie’s Cozy Corner: 4 Month Update
Hey friends!
Welcome back to another Josie’s Cozy Corner update! This mama got behind this month! Better late than never, right? So, let’s dive in and chat about what our sweet Jose Jose has been up to. At her 4-month appointment, her pediatrician said she was right on track for development. She weighed 12 lbs and 10.5 oz. and was 24.5 inches.
Josie is very much our early bird, whereas Lyla has always been our night owl. Josie is all smiles in the morning! Actually, she’s smiley about 90% of the time. She goes bananas when she sees Lyla, and it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. My prayer was for them to be close, and I love that it’s come to fruition. Fingers crossed it stays that way! Every day, Josie is getting stronger. She’s constantly moving around the play mat, and has rolled over from tummy to back a few times. Her neck muscles are on point, and it’s amazing to see how high she can lift her head these days. She is also following so much more with her eyes than ever before.
Some of her favorite things at the moment are putting her hands in her mouth. She almost prefers that over her binky. She also loves playing with this sensory toy that has strings for her to pull on. Her grip is getting stronger, so it may not be as easy for Lyla to take toys away from her LOL. Something she’s not a big fan of is constipation, but can you blame the girl? We notice it tends to happen more when she gets sick because her feedings decrease. Poor girl went about a week and a half before there was any relief. We experienced this once with Lyla when she was a baby, but it never went that long. To help move things along for Jose, we diluted apple juice with water.
One of my favorite memories this month was hearing her giggle uncontrollably during tickling sessions. Honestly, that is about the only time Kent or I can get her to laugh. However, as I said before, she will go nuts when she sees Lyla. That girl can make her laugh like it’s nobody’s business. Anyway, friends, that is all I have to share this month. Thank you so much for reading, and I’ll be back soon (hopefully on time) with Josie’s 5-month update, so keep an eye out for that!
Love, Brandi
